Effect of Multiple Taxation on the Financial Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ekiti State, Nigeria

The performance and growth of business enterprises, especially small medium enterprises (SMEs), have been hindered by a multiplicity taxes causing the untimely liquidation most businesses. In this regard, study examined effect multiple taxations on financial SMEs in Ekiti State, Nigeria. used survey research method analyzed it with correlation coupled regression analysis. population comprises all registered functional located Ado Ekiti, Nigeria, existence for over 5 years valid proof tax payment. results found that burdens administrations exhibited significant negative relationship while ability to pay revealed positive relationship. From aforementioned results, was concluded served as worm deeply reduced investment potential invariably affected chunk revenue generated sector state. It therefore suggested Joint Tax Board state other institutions responsible management should awaken their functions harmonize government prevent occurrence from burden hindering survival
